Aprium Summer Delight Tree

Description

Summer Delight Aprium extends the apricot season with medium-sized golden fruit that usually matures in late summer. Its yellow flesh is notably juicy, delivering concentrated apricot character with a gentle plum-like depth. The fruit is rewarding straight from the tree and brings lively aroma to preserves, baked desserts, and dried slices. For gardeners who already harvest early or midseason stone fruit, this later selection adds a distinct flavor and a useful second picking window.
Plant this bare-root, semi-dwarf tree in full sun and fast-draining soil. Good airflow and an open canopy help foliage and blossoms dry after wet weather. Water consistently through establishment and fruit development, but do not keep the root zone waterlogged. When branches carry a crowded set, thin the young fruit so the remainder can size evenly and the developing crop does not overburden new wood.
Summer Delight is self-fruitful, which means one tree can set a crop without a required pollinizer. A compatible aprium or apricot with overlapping bloom is optional and can add variety to the orchard. Suitable companions include Cot-N-Candy Aprium and Katy Apricot.
