Raspberry - Fall Gold

Description

Fall Gold is a yellow primocane raspberry offered as a bundle of three dormant bare-root plants. Extension references describe a moderately vigorous cultivar with medium-size, very soft, gold fruit and excellent flavor. It can be managed for a fall crop or, where the season permits, for smaller summer and fall crops.

Plant form: 3 dormant bare-root raspberry plants

USDA zones: 4–8

Chill requirement: 500–1,000 hours

Fruiting type: Primocane / everbearing

Pollination: Self-fruitful; one variety can set fruit

Sun: Full sun

Plant in fertile, well-drained soil, keep moisture even, and provide support where canes lean. For one fall crop, cut fruited primocanes to the ground during dormancy. For two crops in a sufficiently long season, retain the lower cane portions for a smaller floricane crop, then remove them after fruiting. Exact ripening and crop size vary with climate and care.
